Senior's Club
Semi-monthly meetings for a variety of activities including Bible Study classes, guest speakers, field trips and service projects for the Church. For ages 55+.
Filipino Catholic Club:
Our ministry seeks to aid and assist the parish in strengthening & encouraging Christian fellowship and spiritual ties of Filipinos in the Parish & Community. We promote apostolic activities in the parish by living our Christian Faith through prayer, individual participation in other ministries as well as assisting with parish functions as needed, building community through outreach activities, and assisting the parish in its appreciation of our culture.
St. Francis Xavier Club:
Spiritual and social activities to promote growth in our Faith, upholding the ideals of our patron saint.
Missionary Basic Christian Community:
Spiritual renewal through retreats and small community faith sharing.
Neocatechumenal Way:
An initiation of Faith. The renewal of Baptism.
Knights of Columbus:
Catholic fraternal organization which supports the Church and serves those in need.
Marriage Encounter:
Enrich experience in the Sacrament of Marriage.
Youth Ministry:
Provide Youth with community building activities and grant them opportunities to serve the Lord by serving others through retreats, prayers, socials, & sports. For grades 7-12.
Young Adult Ministry:
To raise community awareness of the homeless in Hawaii. Included are service & social activities. For ages 18+
Samoan Choir Community:
For parishioners to celebrate our faith and culture through music.
PARISH MINISTRIES and RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Parish Faith Formation:
CCD teachers and teachers' aides catechize our parish children in the ways of our Catholic Faith by "echoing" the teachings of the Catholic Church.
RCIA:
Prepares adults and children to become fully initiated members of the Church through religious formation.
ADMINISTRATION
Parish Bulletin:
Editing and typing layout of weekly bulletin.
Parish Finance Council:
Advise Pastor on fiscal matters/budget.
Parish Pastoral Council:
Aconduit for information for the Pastor & the Church.
Building Committee:
Advise Pastor on improvements in building projects.
Outreach/Food Pantry:
Provide material assistance to the needy, counsel those in difficult situations.
Bereavement Committee:
Assist the Clergy and families in planning and implementing funeral plans.
Fellowship Committee:
Prepare lunches for Parish workdays and serve refreshments on Fellowship Weekends and on special occasions.
Maintenance:
Provide a safe environment and maintain the grounds and buildings.
Parking:
Provide a safe environment and maintain the grounds and buildings.
Nursing Home:
Assist the priest in preparation and in serving Mass at the Pearl City Nursing Home.
LITURGICAL MINISTRIES
Altar Care:
Care of sacristy & sanctuary. Care for the vessels and linens used for Holy Mass.
Altar Servers:
Assist priest and deacons at the altar during the Liturgical Celebration (Holy Mass) which is the summit or our Catholic worship.
Sanctuary:
Assist Celebrant in preparation & distribution of Eucharist.
Eucharistic Ministers
Administer Eucharist to the sick & homebound
Homebound:
Administer Eucharist to the sick & homebound
Hospital:
Administer Eucharist to the hospitalized.
Lectors:
Proclaim the Sacred Scriptures and thus enhance the beauty of the liturgical celebration and help the worshiping community to experience the presence of the Lord among His people.
Ushers:
Wilcome parish community before Mass, seat people, gather offerings, open and secure church before and after services.
Choirs:
Provide vocal and instrumental music to enhance the Liturgy.
Design/Environment:
Provide seasonal decorations for the church.
