renew and maintain Love, Family Unity and Christian Values throughout the Community.

We are happy to welcome you to the parish family of Our Lady of Good Counsel. Our fervent prayer is that we shall collaborate in a personal way to build up a community of Faith, Hope and Love so as to give witness to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord! Our Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us.

SACRAMENTS

Reconciliation:	Saturday: 4:00-5:00pm (or by appointment).
Baptisms:	2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month at noon. Call the Parish office for an appointment.
Blessings:	Call the Parish office to schedule blessing of homes, cars, etc.
Matrimony:	Contact the Parish office at least 6 months in advance to make arrangements with the priest. Other arrangements may be made.
Anointing of the Sick:	Call the Parish office before being admitted to the hospital.
Communion Calls:	For home visits, please call the Parish office.
Funerals:	Call the Parish office before making arrangements with the mortuary.

PARISH MINISTRIES RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Parish Faith Formation:	CCD teachers and teachers aides catechize our parish children in the ways of our Catholic Faith by "echoing" the teachings of the Catholic Church.
RCIA:	Prepares adults and children to become fully initiated members of the Church through religious formation.

ADMINISTRATION

Parish Finance Council:	Advise Pastor on fiscal matters/budget.
Parish Pastoral Council:	A conduit for information for the Pastor & the Church.
Building Committee:	Advise Pastor on improvements in building projects.
Outreach/Food Pantry:	Provide material assistance to the needy, counsel those in difficult situations, and make home visitations.
Bereavement Committee:	Assist the Clergy and families in planning and implementing funeral plans.
Fellowship Committee:	Prepare lunches for Parish workdays and serve refreshments on Fellowship Weekends and on special occasions.
Maintenance:	Provide a safe environment and maintain the grounds and buildings.
Parking:	Provide security during Mass and other parish functions.
Nursing Home:	Assist the priest in preparation and in serving Mass at the Pearl City Nursing Home.

LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Altar Care:	Care of sacristy & sanctuary. Care for the vessels and linens used for Holy Mass.
Altar Servers:	Assist priest and deacons at the altar during the Liturgical Celebration (Holy Mass) which is the summit of our Catholic worship.

Eucharistic Ministers

Sanctuary:	Assist Celebrant in preparation & distribution of Eucharist
Homebound:	Administer Eucharist to the sick & homebound.
Hospital:	Administer Eucharist to the hospitalized.
Lectors:	Proclaim the Sacred Scriptures and thus enhance the beauty of the liturgical celebration and help the worshiping community to experience the presence of the Lord among His people.
Ushers:	Welcome parish community before Mass, seat people, gather offerings, open and secure church before and after services.
Choirs:	Provide vocal and instrumental music to enhance the Liturgy.
Design/Environment:	Provide seasonal decorations for the church.
