Parish Ministries

The work of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish is preformed through the parish ministries. Ministry is a special call from God to serve actively as a member of Christ's Church. It is through the sacrament of Baptism that each of us is called to ministry.

The concept of ministry has been integral to the Church since its earliest days. After Christ's Resurrection, Ascension and sending the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the apostles continued His ministry on Earth. In the name of Jesus, they cared for the poor, cured the sick and preached the message of the Kingdom. As new needs arose, members of the early Church were called to serve through members of the early Church were called to serve through ministries such as preaching and social service. As members of the Church today, we continue to reach out to serve others, as well as one another in the spirit of Christian ministry.
