OUTREACH MINISTRY

Brothers and Sisters:

We are all experiencing higher prices at the gas pump, grocery stores, etc. Many of us are having to prioritize our household expenses and cut down on those 'extras'. Others of us are finding it difficult to make ends meet and are receiving HECO disconnect notices and finding their cupboards empty. The young and the elderly are especially impacted.

We have all heard the statement that 'God will never get us into anything we cannot do if we just ask for the help'. Asking for help can be very difficult, so we are coming to you this week to ask you to be our eyes and ears. If you know of an individual or family in need of our help, encourage them to contact our parish office. We are open Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00-11:45 am.

Our Outreach Ministry is appealing for support for our food pantry. Through all those years that we have set up the Outreach Ministry, many have been helped by our generosity and help. At present we are experiencing economic problems but still we can extend our helping hand to those who are in need. With your generous donations, we can make peoples' lives happy and put food on their table. May God in turn reward your love and support.

Our Food Pantry is currently in need of the following items:   Rice,   Chili,   Cereal,   Tuna fish   Canned vegetables,   Peanut Butter,   Canned soup, Vienna sausage,   Canned fruit, Saimin Noodles, ,All Canned Goods

We're getting ready for Thanksgiving!

We're getting ready for Thanksgiving! We are hoping to provide a meal to many, many families this year. As a reminder, this year we will be giving our needy families gift certificates so that they will be able to pick up their own turkey or hams from Foodland. We will very happily accept your donations of non-perishable food items to distribute for Thanksgiving. Mahalo for your loving support!!

We are also running low on plastic, grocery store bags. If you could "recycle" your clean bags, we would be grateful.
